For your information the following will be the format and content of Photography One...this is a prerequisite to other courses.


The course will consist of 10 , 3 hour online sessions. One class per week!
I haven't decide on a day or time, but Saturday or Sunday am seems best... let me know... or possibly a weekday evening

Film..the basics of emulsion
The relationship between the aperture, shutter re exposure film speed
Using the shutter to blur motion, stop motion and Panning.
Using the aperture to change depth of field (explanation of depth of field)
How a light meter works
Using the in camera meter (TTL metering)
Using a gray card for correct exposure readings
Electronic Flash, manual and auto modes. Limitations and advantages
. Bounce Flash
Flash and the focal plane shutter.
Basic composition techniques
Test

Well, that's the basic course...

Now what equipment will you need?
You will need the following:
a 35mm SLR camera and lens capable of manual and autometic settings,
a compatible electronic flash, Access to a Black & White darkroom,
2 rolls of colour negative film,
1 roll of tmax 100 or tmax 400,
A good sense of Humour!!

The credit course will come with mandatory text and other literature.
